The greatest value we provide is neither the baby supplies or safer place to sleep, but the education parents receive. Our baby safety program provides healthcare professionals with the proper training tools to educate about SIDS prevention. The program consists of a sponsored class that parents attend before their child is born. These classes are fun and informative sessions where new parents can come together and celebrate, bond, and network with one another. Upon completion of the class, a short test will be administered by the healthcare provider. Parents will then be provided with their Newborn Bonding Box, and the training materials to take home.

As an organization, there are many possibilities on how to setup the training courses. With your purchase, we include several examples of real programs which have been successfully completed in the past. If you have issues getting parents to attend these classes, we offer free instruction on how to apply what we’ve learned in the Finnish Model as guidance. (One Hint: Offering the Newborn Baby Boxes at no charge to the parents. This is typically a very quick solution to growing your class attendance!) As a bonus, the programs were developed to overcome language barriers, so everyone can provide a safe environment for their child!

The S&S parenting program consists of the following:

  • Hands-on participant workbooks to provide a place to apply what is learned.
  • Pre, and Post-Class Quizzes to test what each parent has learned about keeping their newborn safe.
  • Facilitator Notes to further explain how and why each practice is relevant the safety training.
  • Take-Home handouts so parents have reminders and tips they can take home to continue their safe and sound experience.

If you represent a hospital or healthcare organization, here are questions to ask yourself so we can develop the perfect program for you:

  1. Do you want to host parent training classes, or just offer our newborn bonding boxes to parents on their delivery day?
  2. If you decide to host onsite training classes, who will lead your classes? We have specific guidance for this person(s).
  3. How much storage space do you have available?
  4. Approximately how many births does your hospital see per year?
  5. Do you have the funding in place, or do you need assistance from a donor or sponsor?

Who do you work with mostly?

Our largest customer base is hospitals and healthcare groups. Recently we expanded our program to the public, but we consistently work closely with healthcare professionals. In doing so, we are sure to always be on the cutting-edge and up to date on the latest findings.
